John - Its always better to talk than email, but with your schedule, I thought I would send a quick note. At least it can help to keep the call short! This is what I'm up to, and what I'd like to do: 1. The WH is organizing a group of experts on the Greek crisis, and I've been asked to join. Four of the 5 others tapped have recommended me to chair. (The only one I haven't spoke with is Phil A. Its delicate with him, because I think he was hoping to lead it.... Greek drama!). Important work, but not a full time job by any means. I'm also on the board of The Hellenic Initiative. 2. My book tour is done, with just a few lingering commitments. I speak at the State Department on Sept 18, in my capacity as a Virtual Fellow at INR (this is why they renewed my TS-SCI which is good until 2020). 3. I'm chair of the CA Advisory Council on Int'l Trade and Investment. Very reasonable demands on me with this. 4. I'm chairing a big fundraiser for my friend Kamala in early October. While I'm contributing to many fine candidates, she is the only person other than HRC that I'm raising for. I have most of the commitment already raised! 5. I've been in a fairly low-key 'senior advisor' role with Albright Stonebridge, not wanted to take payment from companies at this
