From the outside looking in, it would appear as though Jamie Thomas always had his shit together. Notoriously disciplined and driven, few have left an indelible mark in skateboarding like the Chief. As a pro skater, filmer, editor, brand builder, entrepreneur, and designer, Jamie has built a legacy on being meticulous, laser focused, and detail-oriented that hasn’t been matched since his meteoric rise to the top. If you grew up skating in the ’90s or 2000s, there’s a very solid chance that Jamie was your favorite skater and Zero was your favorite brand. Hell, even Graham Coxon, guitarist of Blur, wrote a song called “Jamie Thomas” at the height of their collective fame.
Now approaching 50 with a new perspective on balance and life, Jamie reflects on his decades of experience, acknowledging that his obsessiveness was actually a self-destructive coping mechanism—a fatal flaw preventing him from being the well rounded family man he’s become today. Jamie Thomas King
British actor
Thomas Edward James King (born 9 July 1981),[1] known professionally as Jamie Thomas King, is an English actor, best known for playing poet Thomas Wyatt in the television series The Tudors.
Early life
[edit]King was born in London and is the son of American screenwriter Laura Lamson and English television director Christopher King. He was educated at Dulwich College, Fine Arts College and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Career
[edit]King began his acting career in the theatre in the Royal National Theatre's production of Alan Bennett's The History Boys. He has acted extensively in American and European film and television productions. He is best known for playing poet Thomas Wyatt in the television series The Tudors.
In 2024 he starred in the short film The Light Before the Sun, which marked both the debut release from his Blackbird Productions studio and his first credit as a screenwriter.[2]
Personal life
[edit]He is married to Canadian actress Tamara Podemski, with whom he launched the Blackbird Productions studio.[3]
In 2016 Podemski gave birth to their second child Benjamin, who died just five days after birth, in Bath. A coroner's investigation later determined
