Indian film and television actor (born 1968)
Dilip Joshi (born 26 May 1968)[2][3] is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films and television and is best known for portraying the lead role in the long-running Indian Hindi-language television sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, in which he plays the role of a businessman Jethalal Champaklal Gada, who gets himself in many problems and troubles. The show originally broadcasts on the channel Sony SAB.[4][5]
Personal life
[edit]While doing BCA, he was awarded the INT (Indian National Theater) Best Actor.[6]
He was a co-owner of a travel agency from 1985 until 1990.[7]
Career
[edit]Joshi started his acting career in 1989, playing the character of Ramu in the film Maine Pyar Kiya. Later, he appeared in several Gujaratidramas, one of them being Bapu Tame Kamaal Kari with Sumeet Raghavan and Amit Mistry, the trio known for their television show Shubh Mangal Savadhan. Joshi starred in the show Yeh Duniya Hai Rangeen and Kya Baat Hai in which he played a South Indian. He also appeared in the films Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!
During 2008, Joshi began a long run playing the role of Jethalal Champaklal Gad

Dilip Joshi, popularly known for his role of Jethalal Gada in the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is an Indian television and film actor.[1] He has appeared in many serials as well as movies. He started his career by playing a supporting roles in Bollywood movies, but still he is widely known for his comic performances. Joshi has featured in films such as Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994), Khiladi 420 (2000), and One 2 ka 4 (2001).
